Gilgamesh And Noah

In 1872 a man named George Smith who was an authority on Assyria was looking through a collection of Assyrian tablets which belonged to King Ashurbanipal in the 7th Century B.C. when he found a tablet which told a story of a flood that was strikingly similar to the Noah’s Ark story in the Bible. This tablet was written in Akkadian and is now known as Tablet 11 of the Epic of Gilgamesh.

The most remarkable point the two stories share in common is that of the three birds which were released to see if the flooding was over. In both stories a deity had decided to destroy man with a flood because of his evil deeds and in both stories a man was found who was deserving of being saved. The man was warned and instructed to build a craft to save him, his family and a certain number of animals.

The exact details of the stories vary but the basic story line is the same. In the Gilgamesh epic the flooding is much …

Zeus and Greek Mythology

Greek Mythology  has always been one of my biggest interests. When I was little I could not get enough of this kind of thing.

Now as most people  know the Olympians are made of 12 Gods who after the Titans ruled. All of these Gods were related in some way or another.

But has anyone ever noticed that the Greek Mythology  is a lot like the bible and has so many of the same things that happened  in the bible. Lets take a look at Zeus in this read.

First off any one who has the name today Jesus they pronounce it as Zeus.   Strange don’t you think?
Zeus was the main and almighty over all just like our God.
Now Zeus was the great God over the Skys and the ruler of all of the other Olympian Gods.

Cronus was the father of  Zeus but Zeus over threw his father with help from his brothers Poseidon and Hades.
He is the supreme ruler of all of the sky and the rain God. He has …

The Legend of the Green Children Of Woolpit

Is it possible that there are aliens living beneath our feet deep within the earth? You, the reader, can read this article and decide what you think.

Some may have heard of the Green Kids that came from beneath the Earth’s surface and then this may be new to others.

This is considered as a legend, but there is always truth behind every legend. There are several different stories about these children, but all are similar. In every story a girl of about ten years old with a boy of a few years younger were found at the mouth of a cave dressed in clothes that were unknown to anyone. Some described their clothing as being made of a strange metallic cloth. Their skin was green and the villagers that found them said that the language they spoke was like no other they had ever heard before.

Now, before I go any further into this story you should know that this legend first began in a town called Woolpit in England during the middle of …

Just What is The Wendigo?

Has any one ever heard of the Wendigo,  or maybe seen one?

Well to be honest I had never heard of it until I was browsing around on a forum and some one there  brought it up.
It is a very intriguing creature.

It is not as well known as some other legends,  but with this read you will know more about it.

Some may know of this creature by a movie that was released in 2001 called The Algernon Blackwood Story,  or may have seen it in comic books.

The wendigo legend has a long history behind it.
It came  from folklore and many Native American tribes mostly from the Algonquian people.

How ever it is concerned as many things some says that it is like a Werewolf or a reptile.

Many even gets the two names wendigo and windigo mixed up. The Wendigo is the creature and the windigo is a spirit.

Allot of people say that the wendigo is just a version of Sasquatch and Bigfoot.

The creature is more like a …

A Trial of a Werewolf on Record

If you are any thing like I am,  I like to find out where things such as the vampires and werewolves came from. Like trials and sightings and where the first stories came from.

I have been researching this,  and here are some things that I have found out about the first Werewolf.

Are they real? If not then why did people start this rumor?   Was it just like the stories that you tell your kids about the Boogyman just to scare them? Lets take a closer look at this and you be the judge.

Now we all know what a werewolf is,  right?
Well,  just in case you are unsure, it is a Human wolf.
A human who takes on a transformation of a wolf much larger then your common wolf and stands up right like a man… but with running speed like no human on the face of this Earth.   It is much stronger then any human or wolf.

This is a sighting and a recorded trial of what is thought to be …

Did I See a Vampire in Kentucky?

I’m 20 years old and I’m married to a U.S. Soldier. We got married last July and he moved me from my home town in Michigan all the way to Kentucky. I know it’s going to sound like I’m babbling, but I swear everything I say is relevant to the story. I’m not the type of person to believe in vampires. You could say I’m a complete skeptic. “I’ll believe it when I see it”, that’s my motto. and it was working out perfectly fine… Until I saw it!

I’m really not sure what happened to this day, we were living in a tiny house way out in the country, surrounded my nothing but cornfields. Here’s where the real story starts. My husband knows I love animals and he got me a puppy as a surprise. He was perfect and I named him Barney. If you can picture the perfect dog, that is him. he was potty trained really young, always ate his food and never barked or showed any aggression.

So one night my …

Judas Iscariot and Vampire Myths

You might have read my previous story ( The First Vampire ).

The myth about the first vampire ~ Judas Iscariot.

The Biblical Story of Judas Iscariot:

To begin with lets review a bit of bible history, for those of you who are not familiar with the story of Judas Iscariot. Judas betrayed Jesus Christ to the chief priests and elders for 30 silver pieces. Judas then felt so horrible for what he had done when he found out that Jesus had been condemned, he attempted to return the silver pieces, but the chief priests and elders refused to accept them from him. Judas threw down the silver pieces in the temple, and departed, he then hung himself.

How Judas Became a Vampire:

Now there are many beliefs as to how exactly Judas becomes a vampire, the first belief and most common is that god cursed Judas and his family to walk the earth until the second coming of Jesus, and until that time he would thirst for the blood of Jesus, which of course …
