My Experiences With the Ouija Board

After seeing the movie “Witch Board” I really didn’t believe in the Ouija board. Years later I was at the store with my cousin and there was the Ouija board. I purchased it because I wanted to prove that it wasn’t real. To me, it was just a toy made by a toy company. I asked the cashier, an old sweet woman, if she had ever played with it, she said “oh yes, dear, stay away, don’t play with it.” I laughed it off and bought it anyway.

My cousin and I were eager to get started. We put it on the table, turned the lights off and lit some candles. We asked if anyone was there and nothing happened. I got tired of waiting and said, I knew it wasn’t real. I put it back in the box and tossed it in the closet.

Months later my brother, sister and a friend of ours were at my house. My friend Kelly found the board in the closet where it sat for months. She said …

fenugreek herbFenugreek  is a herb that has been used for thousands of years to add a savory flavoring to various foods, such as lamb, beef, and lentils, but it has also been use as a treatment for many ailments. It is used to treat gas, canker sores, high blood pressure, and several other illnesses.

Here are a few recipes for treating some various diseases. As always, consult a trained physician when concerning life threating illnesses, but these may be added to the treatments prescribed by your doctor.

For a sore throat and gas use either some of the fenugreek leaves to make a tea. Pour very hot, not boiling, water over the leaves in a cup and let steep for about 5 minutes. Drink several cups of this tea through out the day. You may also use the seeds, but they need to be steeped longer, about 15-20 minutes, and boiling water is to be poured over about a teaspoonful of seeds in a cup.

This type of tea, made from fenugreek leaves, has also been …

St. Johns Wort Folk Remedies

Posted by Roses on January 9, 2010

st-john-wortSt. Johns Wort has been used for centuries for many ailments, internally and externally. It it used to help purify the blood, as well as a “blood-builder”, and as an antiseptic. It is also used to treat depression and anxiety.

It is useful in treating sprains and bruises, and has been shown to be useful in preventing stretch marks when used in an oil preparation during pregnancy.

A very strong  tea made with St. John’s Wort and then taken a teaspoonful 1-2 times a day helps to cleanse the blood and alleviate depression.

Another folk remedy is to put St. John’s Wort in a quart of whiskey, or moonshine along with some cherry bark for flavor and let it set for about 2 weeks. Take a teaspoonful to build blood and help cure the “blues”.

To prevent stretch marks while pregnant: Take 1 – 2 handfuls of St. John’s Wort flowers and pound them in some olive oil and let set for week. Strain and use as needed.

My sister sees ghosts

This all happened last week. I was babysitting my little sister while my mum was outside gardening. My sister was playing with her favorite toy, her Lego blocks as usual when she stopped for a second and stared. She looked like as if she was trying to listen to something. I was surprised because my little sister is 18 months and she hardly focuses on anything but her Lego blocks. So I watched her concentrate on what she was doing. Then she quickly got up and ran down the hallway. I followed her and stood at one end of the hallway. I hate the hallway because the doors always slam on me when I go past them even on boiling hot days. My sister continued running down the hallway till she got to the end then she stopped and stared. Then I hear a big “BOO!” and she runs to me screaming I pick her up quickly and ran into the lounge room away from the hallway. The “boo” sounded like a deep man’s voice. …

As many of us know, water is the basis for life on this planet.   Our bodies are at least 75% water, but most of us do not get nearly enough water to replace what is lost through exercise.   Drinking sugary drinks such as soda, or drinking caffeinated drinks deprive our bodies of this vital liquid.   This in turn creates problems that lead to many illnesses and disease.

Such illnesses as chronic aching joints, constipation, acid reflux, gout, acne, dry skin, sinusitis, and a host of other common ailments have been reported to have completely disappeared once a basic water therapy was used.

It’s incredibly simple. Our bodies need about 8 to 10 glasses of water a day, or about a half gallon, and a teaspoon of SEA SALT, (not regular table salt), everyday to help keep the electrolytes in balance and to keep our bodies hydrated.

A simple recipe of one teaspoonful of sea salt to a gallon of water works wonders to alleviate and cure many ailments. You can also add 3 to 4 …

Pegasus The Flying Horse And Bellerophon

Posted by Roses on January 6, 2010

pegasusPegasus has always fascinated me. Pegasus is seen in lots of art work and used in many poems. He is one of the most famous myths in Greek Mythology. Read the history of Pegasus and enjoy it as much I have enjoyed writing this piece.

Pegasus is from Greek Mythology and belonged to Bellerophon. This beautiful wing horse was born from the blood that was spilled from the Queen of the Gorgons Medusa. She and Poseidon the God of all waters mated and she was already pregnant by him when Perseus cut here head clean off her shoulders.

Pegasus also had a brother that sprung from the blood of Medusa. He was called Chrysaor and was described as a winged Boar. Both creatures were born fully grown from the blood of Medusa.KHRYSAOR

Bellerophon tamed this beast by using the magic bridle that was given to him by Athena.

Bellerophon was a Korinthian Hero. Bellerophon rode Pegasus into battle against the Khimaira which was a fire breather. This was a creature that had the head and …

Training Your Dog to Obey

Learning to train your dog to obey may feel a little like a psychology class, but luckily it is relatively simple and fun. The key to getting your dog to obey your commands will be a technique known as “positive reinforcement”. This entails rewarding your dog for doing the things you command him to do. Rewarding your dog does not only mean giving him a treat, but should also include gentle and reassuring petting, and nice words and body language.

The first thing you should train your dog to do should be to come to you. Let’s go over what you should do to train your dog to come to you. Start off in a safe environment with a leash, like your backyard, and call out the command clearly to your dog. The command should be the same sound every time so the dog learns to recognize that command. If your dog does not respond at all to your command, try tugging gently on the leash and walking a few steps back as your dog …

Ok, so here’s the deal, when I was like three, everyone was in the living room (this was around 2000), so everyone was in the living room, and I wanted a drink, and even though the kitchen was like a bench, you had to go down a short hallway to get to the kitchen, Dad told me not to go, because there would be a ghost there, I thought he was just joking and trying to scare me, but when I went to turn on the light, I was completely alone, and it was almost pitch black, I reached up and I saw a tall dark shadowy figure he had vertical slits from his mouth and yellow eyes, right next to my hand, it just looked down at me, we stared for about 5 seconds which seemed like forever and I bolted to the living room without even getting my drink.

Then, we moved to Adelaide, we lived in a place that was houses and flats in a semi-circle so it was like a round …

Ghost Boy Followed Me from Tasmania

Posted by Roses on January 3, 2010

My year group at school this year went to Tasmania for the year excursion and I now have a little boy ghost following me.

We were staying in the Rutherglen Hotel, and me and my friends were staying in the coach house. Naturally we all went exploring through the coach house to see where we would be staying, and to pick our rooms and beds and unpack. One of my friends said to me that one of the rooms didn’t feel right to her, and she didn’t like to go in there, so curious me decided to have a look and see what I thought. Anyway, I walked into the room and felt fine, but I was drawn to the wardrobe, and so I opened the wardrobe and stepped in. As soon as I stepped in, I felt very ill and faint. I had to get out of the room as soon as possible or I was going to pass out or throw up or something, so I went downstairs and sat on the lounge.…
